How the city of Amsterdam used Synthetron dialogues to optimize its ‘Vital at Work’ program
The City of Amsterdam is dedicated to being a supportive and inclusive employer that encourages its employees to actively work towards their own happiness and well-being at work. To achieve this goal, the city employs a specialized program team called Vital at Work. The team focuses on four pillars of vitality: mental health, physical health, happiness at work, and social health.
In 2022, the team worked with Synthetron to organize online dialogues discussing each of the four pillars with employees and executives from across the organization. The purpose of these dialogues was to encourage interaction, self-reflection and learning from each other, and provide practical tips to improve personal well-being
‘Organize conversations like this! People like to talk to each other and can therefore reflect on themselves, but they also learn from each other’.
Nadine de Bree-Kisoen Program Manager Vital at Work (Chief Happiness Officer)
‘Dare to try new things, as we did with making it possible to discuss (personal) subjects that are sometimes taboo via Synthetron. It works!’
